Happy New Year!!
We hope you enjoyed celebrating the new year ringing in...
There will be some new ID tags & other great items being added very soon...check back often to see the exciting products for your pets & new Pendants for humans and Bracelets for humans too ♡
My way of thinking is that 'Every pet needs an ID tag!'
I have heard several reasons from people why they don't feel that their pets need ID tags, here's a couple.
● My pet never gets out.
I had an experience when I came across a dog, that was walking towards the middle of the road on Jones, that has an ID with current phone number information, it only took just minutes to contact the owners & have Pepsi get home safely. "She never gets out" said the owner's neighbor. She's blind.
● My pet is microchipped - which is a great! Unless you do not keep the chip updated & renewed annually (another story). Or if whoever finds your pet does not take them to a Veterinarian to be scanned.
Today there was an ad in Craigslist about a found dog. The person who found him is giving him away for FREE!! I contacted the person to ask if they had taken the dog to be scanned for a microchip, this is the persons response;

I haven't...he looked like a stray and dont have extra money for pet visit, otherwise I would

Did you take this dog to a Vet to see if he has a microchip??
That is pretty scary to know that some people don't understand the benefits of the microchip.
It doesn't matter if you get a great tag like the ones that I make, or a collar that has the pet name & number stitched on it, your pet can really be reconnected with you very fast.
This is a simple step to help get your pets home faster. Keep your pet's safe by having current info on their ID tags.
It has been some time since my last blog. I have partnered up with a local dog rescue for a fundraiser. Starting 7/12/15 to 8/13/15, I'm hosting a fundraiser for Southern Nevada Beagle Rescue Foundation. The rescue will get 25% of the regular price items sold when the purchaser includes SNBRF in the comments at checkout. This non-profit 501c3 rescue is very active saving beagles & even some small dogs in the Las Vegas area. And once in a while saves beagles from other city's & states.
I am partial to this rescue, as they pulled our most recent dog ~ BoBo.
He was on his last day at the kill shelter on the left due to needing very treatable medical attention & happily giving us his signature BoBo look on the right.
Welcome to the month of May!
I had become a little (well, really a LOT) discouraged with this website & was about ready to convert back to the easier (old ) website format.
I was searching through the help section & discovered that two of the things I was really missing on this advanced Business plan was NOW available!! So now for my customers, when you go to the checkout, you have the choice to use the SSL secured checkout through Stripe with your credit cards OR you can checkout through your PayPal accounts.
The BEST part of all is now, in the checkout area, you have 'NOTE TO SELLER' area to put all the details for your custom Dogs ID tags & Pendants for Humans. Both our lives has just gotten so much easier.
Be sure to let me know if this is working for you know. I did a couple tests, but can only go so far or I would be buying my own tags ~ lol
Happy Thanksgiving to all,
I took the step & upgraded to the Weebly business plan. It has some great features - like now my customers can directly check out with their purchases being secure (https). This is a feature I personally always look for this when I'm shopping online.
In starting to update my products to the new Store page, there are a few things that I will be missing a lot! But so far, the better is out weighting the few things missing :)
I am working on cleaning it up over the next few days. It is still open for shopping. If you have any questions please contact me by the email link or the 'contact' form...
Have a great evening ~ the Crew ~ wrroof
I was on my way to get coffee this morning, go to the post office to mail a Dogs ID tagged order & then go to work. I was going to the coffee bean on Lake Mead and Tenaya. When I turned on Lake Mead, there was a cocker spaniel trucking down the sidewalk alone!! I pulled in, parked & joined a couple people who were trying to catch her. I ran with her around the intersection & she finally ended up in the Whole Foods lot. She was running out of steam & we got her trapped.
We thought GREAT she's got an ID tag on! A nice big heart with her name, number & address (luckily). The couple had their phone & called the number. It was DISCONNECTED!! She lived close & the couple was going to take her back home.
First, PLEASE keep your pets ID tag info updated!!
Second, if this pup Summer didn't have her address on her tag she could've ended up at the Lieds shelter with a disconnected phone number!! SO I'm going to work on offering an address / phone# only ID tag. Poor little Summer didn't care what I, the stranger, was calling her ~ she needed to get home!
One of my objectives is to have my ID tags help get your pets home safely. Thanks for visiting ~ the Crew!
This is my baby girl Lucy at her first Christmas time back in 2004. She has a birthday at the end of this month & will be nine years old. I can't believe how the time has flown by. She is such a fun little pup. She is a true stubborn Terrier without a doubt. :) We will be celebrating her wonderfulness with much love...thought I'd share some of her life's pictures. I LOVE YOU LUCY!!
Here is The Crew at their first pet event of the year. This was the Vegas Pet Expo that was here Feb 9th 2013. It was very busy & there was a large crowd so The Crew was riding in their limo :) This picture is courtesy of the local news - Channel 13, taken while they were covering the event.
We were talking to our friend from The Dog Empire, who is a great artist. As you can see, the old guy Aussie is admiring her intently. Please check out The Dog Empire if you get the chance.
There was several recues at this event along with pet health, grooming, food, artist & accessory vendors that participated.
The next event The Crew wants to go to is the Bark in the Park. The Crew has gone to this one for the past two years & they love this one! Here is the detail for this one...
Bark in the Park on Saturday, March 3rd from 10 am to 2 pm. The City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department’s annual Bark in the Park is a free event for people and pooches of all ages. It’s a day full of demonstrations, contests, events, services, pet adoptions, and plenty of fun!
Thanks to my friend Sam at Vegas Rock Dog, who shared this information with me, the following event will be Saturday, March 9th, and it will be the first event that I am going to as a Vendor!! I haven't been to this one before & since I hope to be busy with people & their pets, The Crew won't be there to model any of their dog tags. Hope to see some of you there. This is in the NW area, here is the detail for this one...
The Fast and the Furriest Dog Walk and Health Fair at Floyd Lamb Park at Tule Springs
Saturday, March 9, 10 am - noon Free
9200 Tule Springs Road
Bring your four legged friends and family out for a walk in the park. Walk will begin at 10:30 a.m. Community vendors will be participating in this event to provide information to help you, your family and your four legged friends stay healthy this year. The Animal Foundation will share information about low-cost spay and neuter, microchip and vaccination clinics.
Which ever pet events you are planning on going to, have fun & be safe. If your pets are like The Crew they will love it...WOOF!
Recently I had a great opportunity that I never thought would happen. My plan was to hand stamp dog tags to be stylish & help your pets hopefully get home faster & safer. Well, I was commissioned to make a Service Dog ID tag for a young puppy that is going to be trained to help enrich the life of a young boy. That is such a moving feeling to be a very small part of this person's experiences that he is faced with. I will never forget making this tag, the beautiful dog that will be wearing it or this wonderful boy that will love his Service Dog. Thank You!!
I never thought I would try my hand at Blogging, but this have been an exciting past few months of new adventures in my life & this just adds to the list.
Loving my dogs, aka ~ The Crew & all animals really, I wanted to handcraft something for them that would look nice & useful as well.
I have wanted to do something creative that was related to pets for the longest time. I have worked with tools since I was in grade school, thanks Dad! And I love arts & crafts, so this seemed like a perfect choice for me. I finally decided to go for it. Get things together & open shop. I have my own corner in the garage with my work bench stocked with tools & blanks. So far it has been a blast working on tag orders, knowing that some great dog or kitty is going to wear my art.
Thanks for checking out the Dogs ID tagged website!
