My way of thinking is that 'Every pet needs an ID tag!'
I have heard several reasons from people why they don't feel that their pets need ID tags, here's a couple.
● My pet never gets out.
I had an experience when I came across a dog, that was walking towards the middle of the road on Jones, that has an ID with current phone number information, it only took just minutes to contact the owners & have Pepsi get home safely. "She never gets out" said the owner's neighbor. She's blind.
● My pet is microchipped - which is a great! Unless you do not keep the chip updated & renewed annually (another story). Or if whoever finds your pet does not take them to a Veterinarian to be scanned.
Today there was an ad in Craigslist about a found dog. The person who found him is giving him away for FREE!! I contacted the person to ask if they had taken the dog to be scanned for a microchip, this is the persons response;

Did you take this dog to a Vet to see if he has a microchip??
That is pretty scary to know that some people don't understand the benefits of the microchip.
It doesn't matter if you get a great tag like the ones that I make, or a collar that has the pet name & number stitched on it, your pet can really be reconnected with you very fast.
This is a simple step to help get your pets home faster. Keep your pet's safe by having current info on their ID tags.
